HDMI/DVI
HDMI is the leading digital interconnect now for TV and video entertainment systems. It transmits data over 4 serial “TMDS” lanes, of which 3 are for video/audio data and the 4th for a clock signal.
DVI is similar – but intended for computer monitor applications only.
HDMI version 1.3 and the new 1.4 have maximum TMDS bandwidth of 10.2Gbit/s, implying a maximum data-rate per lane of 3.4Gbit/s.
The EqcoLogic HDMI equalizer can be licensed.
