Operates at 125 Mbps to 500 Mbps, fully adaptive
Allows use of up to 100m [Cat5e or Cat6] UTP cable

EQCO800SC - Single Coax Transceiver for Firewire (1394b)

Uses a single (50 or 75 ohm) coax cable of any diameter to create full duplex digital link
Operates from125 Mbps (S100) to 1 Gbps (S800), fully adaptive
Range up to 70m (dependent on data-rate and cable loss)
Power consumption 215 mW (< 20µW in standby)
Sampling since early 2007
Full product release Q4, 2008
